We are happy to announce that we are back to selling our bread! This recipe is our OG one, our tried and true one that customers and students have loved for years. Remember, it’s whole grain, sourdough bread that is made with flour that is grown and milled by the following local farms and mills: River Valley Community Grains, Morganics Family Farm, Castle Valley Mill, and Janie’s Mill. It is not sprayed with pesticides and is milled with integrity and love. As our mission at Sourland Bread continues to grow and evolve, one thing will always remain true: we strive to nourish our customers with bread that gives us energy, makes us feel great, and connects us to both each other and the earth! After WWII and the Greek Civil War most olive groves in Greece lay barren and wild. Seeing this devastation, Demetri Vrahnos (Stavros’ father) had a dream to bring the once, beautifully terraced olive grove in his village, back to its full potential. After many years of determination and hard labor, not only did his trees exceed his expectation, but Kuma became the leading inspiration of the entire mountainous region. Today Kuma remains fertile and lovingly cared for by farmers that grew up in Demetri's remote village of Agios Nikolaos and the neighboring, Selegoudi, Greece. Terraced on the mountains of the Peloponnese, the trees are exposed to rigorous weather of full sun and harsh winters resulting in strong, abundant trees producing oil rich in flavor and color. The olive oil is exclusively from this land, is cold pressed, extra-virgin and organic - all processed by hand and a committed, labor of love.

Sourland Classic Loaf
*Our Sourdough Bread is available for pick up only.*
Orders must be in before Monday at 10am each week to be ready for that week's pick up, as sourdough is a 24 hour process. If you placed your order after 5pm on Monday, your designated pickup date will be the following week.
Maria's Market Pick Up
You can pickup your order on your designated day anytime between 4-8pm on Wednesdays or 3-6pm on Fridays. Your loaf will be in Maria's Market located inside of Ottoburger in Hopewell, New Jersey. It will be in a brown bag with your name on it.
Valentina Pick Up
You can pickup your order at Valentina in Lawrenceville, NJ anytime between 4 and 7pm on your designated Friday.
No Refunds or Exchanges
Any loaves not picked up on your designated day will be donated to the Chubbie’s Project. There are no refunds or exchanges. If you are out of town or have something come up and you cannot pick up your loaf, feel free to send a friend or family member to do so.
